How long have you been involved with the ACE Women’s Network-Ohio and in what capacity?

My involvement with the ACE Women’s Network-Ohio started from attending annual conferences before 2012. From 2012 to 2015, I served the network as a board member and chair of the awards committee.

What have you gained from your involvement in the ACE Women’s Network-Ohio?

Being involved in the ACE Women’s Network-Ohio is the most rewarding experience for me. It has been amazing to work with the group of women who are passionate about the professional advancement of women. It is a team with great enthusiasm and productivity. I appreciate such unique opportunities to connect to other women colleagues from all kinds of disciplines across higher education institutions. In addition, the network truly helped me with my professional growth and leadership development. I gained confidence, support and friendship from the network.

What do you do for fun?

For fun, I enjoy family activities, such as traveling and hiking. We recently started a family book club for more conversation time and less screen time. I also spent a lot of time for my child’s extra-curricular activities.

What are you most looking forward to professionally or personally in the coming year?

In 2017, my personal goal is to finish reading 40 books, which are not related to my research or teaching.
