Kristine King Robbins

Otterbein University

Kristine King Robbins serves as Vice President and Chief of Staff in the President’s Office at Otterbein University, where she has been employed since 2011.  In this role she serves as principal aide and advisor to the President, member of the President’s Cabinet, and facilitator for current and emerging strategic initiatives as well as liaison to the Board of Trustees.  Kristine has helped develop and launch the Otterbein Women’s Leadership Network initiatives, which includes establishing a mentoring program, participating in the first year seminar on Women and Leadership, and organizing several annual women’s leadership summits in conjunction with WELD (Women for Economic and Leadership Development) and 2020 Women on Boards. 

Kristine also serves as an adjunct faculty member for the Leadership Certificate Program at Otterbein.  Prior to her work at Otterbein, Kristine exceled in demanding leadership positions across a wide variety of industries, in both the public and private sectors. With over 25 years working in senior leadership roles, she has a proven ability to combine strategic thinking and strong direction to create results. Robbins received a Master of Science degree in Management, Leadership, and Strategy from Michigan State University’s Eli Broad College of Business and a Bachelor of Arts degree from The Ohio State University in International Studies with minors in Spanish and International Business. In addition, Robbins achieved certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) through the Human Resources Certificate Institute. Subsequently, she achieved the SHRM Senior Certified Professional designation (SHRM-SCP).

During the course of her career, Kristine has made it a priority give back to her community.  She served on the Westerville Parks Foundation Board, Ohio School Boards Association Federal Relations Network, Westerville Area Chamber of Commerce Board, and Concord Counseling Board. She was elected to the Westerville City Schools Board of Education serving two terms from 2006 - 2013.  At present, Kristine serves on the Columbus Advisory Board of the Ohio Diversity Council and Neighborhood Bridges Board.  She was honored with the Leadership Westerville Founder’s Award in 2017 and the Rotary Club of Westerville Sunrise Service to Community Award in 2015.
